Luhut Calls Rachmat Kaimuddin The Right Figure To Support The Work Program Of The Coordinating Ministry For Maritime Affairs, Which Has Been Mandated By President Jokowi

JAKARTA - It has been answered where the former President Director of Bukalapak, Rachmat Kaimuddin, landed. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan himself was 'transported' to fill the position of Technology & Sustainability Development Special Advisor at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves).

"Today, Brother Rachmat Kaimuddin will join the extended family of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia as a Technology & Sustainability Development Special Advisor who will provide reports and input to me personally as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments," said Luhut in his written statement, Monday. Luhut said Rachmat's presence was a form of the government's commitment to provide benefits as well as encourage major transformations, especially in the field of development and technology in Indonesia in the future.

"Brother Rachmat has a wealth of experience and achievements in this field," he said.

Furthermore, said Luhut, Rachmat's experience as a leader with experience in various industries and sectors, including in technology and sustainable development is an important point so that he is worthy to assume the new position.

"Before accepting this position, Rachmat was the President Director of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk, which succeeded in bringing this company into the first unicorn to be listed on the IDX exchange," Luhut explained.

Rachmat Kaimuddin himself has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University, California, United States.

In addition, his educational background and solid professional work experience in the key fields that he has worked in are indispensable at this time and have been waiting for his contribution.
