JAKARTA - During the celebration of Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022, the Government continues to evaluate all policies to control COVID-19, especially the implementation of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Java-Bali and Outside Java-Bali areas.

The government also continues to encourage vigilance and prepare various anticipatory steps, given the spread of the Omicron variant which is increasingly spreading throughout the world, so that the COVID-19 pandemic condition in Indonesia remains under control and conducive.

The number of Active Cases as of December 26, 2021 was 4,655 cases or 0.11 percent of the total cases, below the Global average of 8.60 percent. When compared to peak conditions on July 24, 2021, the percentage has decreased by 99.19 percent. The proportion of Active Cases in Java-Bali is 52.3 percent, while Outside Java-Bali is 47.6 percent.

Daily Confirmation Cases as of December 26 were recorded to be quite low below 100 cases, which was 92 cases, or had decreased by 99.84 percent from its peak on July 15, 2021. While the 7-day average (7DMA) was 200 cases, with a continuing trend. consistently decreasing.

The average vaccination rate in the past week has slightly increased since Childhood Vaccination started, with an average of 1,219,453 doses per day. The vaccination of children (6-11 years) has increased the daily vaccination rate of more than 300 thousand doses in the last 4 days.

"A total of 2,324,644 doses have been injected for children aged 6-11 years. Meanwhile, the vaccination rate in the Outer Java and Bali regions has increased and accounts for 55.6 percent of the national daily average rate," explained Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Monday 27 December.

For the implementation of the Advanced Dose Vaccination Program (Booster Program), the main targets are Health Workers (nakes), Support Workers working in Health Facilities, the Elderly, and Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI). This Booster Vaccine will be distributed by Biofarma, and can be carried out homologously or heterologously.

Meanwhile, the Mandiri Booster Vaccination Program targets community groups outside the target group for the Advanced Dose Vaccination Program. The distribution of this Independent Booster Vaccine is run by Biofarma and/or a Pharmaceutical Company that meets the standards in vaccine delivery/logistics and vaccination implementation, and can be carried out either homologously or heterologously.

"The Advanced Dose Vaccine Program (Booster Program) is also still waiting for the ITAGI Report and Recommendation on January 10, 2022," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

Quarantine Rules for Post-Nataru PPLN

For Indonesian Citizens Traveling Overseas (PPLN), namely Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), Students, or Government Employees who return from Foreign Service Travel, carry out quarantine at the Government Quarantine Facility, and are required to carry out a PCR Test at a cost borne by the Government .

Meanwhile, for Indonesian citizens outside the criteria as referred to in the previous point, and for foreigners, including foreign diplomats (outside the Head of Foreign Representatives and Families), must carry out quarantine at the Quarantine Accommodation/Hotels, and must carry out a PCR test at their own expense. Heads of Foreign Representatives and their families serving in Indonesia can carry out self-quarantine at their respective residences.

For Government Quarantine Facilities, the capacity in Pademangan Flats, Grass Market, and Nagrak is 13,618 people. Alternative additional capacity of the Government Quarantine Facility is in the Pulogebang, Daan Mogot and LPMP Flats with a capacity of 3,612 people. As for quarantine at private hotels, the total capacity is 16,588 rooms.

"The Wisma Atlet RSDC facility is not for quarantine for PPLN who come from abroad, but for isolation and treatment who are positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, quarantine for PPLN Indonesian citizens can be carried out in Flat-Rusun facilities or other places that have been prepared," concluded Coordinating Minister for Airlangga.
