Electricity Sales In Jakarta Reaches IDR 37.52 Trillion Until November 2021

JAKARTA - General Manager of the State Electricity Company for Greater Jakarta Distribution (PLN Disjaya), Doddy Pangaribuan, noted that electricity sales until November 2021 were better than the previous year.

Doddy said, electricity sales until November reached 29.87 TWh, or better than the previous year which was 29.50 TWh.

According to him, if calculated in rupiah, the electricity sales amounted to IDR 37.52 trillion. This realization also increased from last year's realization of IDR 37.26 trillion.

"Although in a pandemic condition, Alhamdulillah, the economic recovery has been felt. The growth in electricity consumption has also started to improve. From the record sales growth of 1.21 percent and income growing by 0.71 percent", said Doddy at a press conference, Friday, December 17.

Doddy detailed that the sale was obtained from the business group amounting to IDR 11.4 billion. For the business group of IDR 4.1 billion. The public is IDR 1.7 billion and the household is IDR 18.5 billion.

On the customer side, said Doddy, this year is also growing. Where until November 2021 the number of subscribers reached 4.9 million. Connected power was 20,186 MVA in November.

Meanwhile, in 2021, the peak load in Jakarta will be recorded at 4,959 MW. Currently, the reserve margin in Jakarta is 29 percent. The Jakarta area itself is supplied from 6 subsystems with a capacity of 9,776 MW.

"Next year it looks like we are still in a pandemic condition, we do not set an optimistic target. With various maximum efforts we can make electricity consumption growth next year is predicted to be 2 percent", said Doddy.

On this occasion, he said that his party plans to add SPKLU in Jakarta. Next year, it is targeted that 25 additional SPKLUs will operate. Currently, 12 SPKLU are operating in 8 locations. By the end of the year, 13 more units will operate in 10 additional locations.

"By the end of the year, it is hoped that there will be 25 SPKLU chargers at 18 locations in Jakarta. If we were allowed to propose next year, it would certainly be the same (number) as those that have been installed and will be installed this year", said Doddy.

Doddy continued, to accelerate the acceleration of the SPKLU facility, PLN opened the option of cooperation with other companies.

In the provision of SPKLU, three elements are the main requirements, namely landowners, equipment owners, and operators. In the collaboration process that is carried out, PLN provides an opportunity for partners to take part by providing the three main elements or only one or two of the three elements.

"The profit-sharing mechanism has also been established. The bulk tariff is very competitive. For business or regular tariffs, we (set) IDR 2,466 per kWh. That will be paid by the vehicle owner, from there IDR 1,466 per kWh goes to PLN and the rest becomes rights of these investors", explained Doddy.
