JAKARTA – PT Jasa Marga conducted a series of education and campaigns related to safety and driving through the Road Safety Rangers program ahead of the Christmas and New Year's 2022 holiday.

Jasa Marga Director of Operations Fitri Wiyanti also hopes that the theoretical and practical knowledge gained by the participants can be disseminated again in their respective environments and continue to be applied in daily driving.

"We want this effort to realize safety on toll roads and make safety driving the main behavior, even a lifestyle, which participates in persuading the public," she said in an official statement on Sunday, December 12.

According to Fitri, this initiative is important to reduce the accident rate and fatality rate on toll roads and to create safer toll roads for its users. She noted that 81 percent of the causes of accidents on the Jasa Marga Group Toll Road are still the driver factor.

"In line with Jasa Marga's commitment to sustainable toll road management and concern for the environment in efforts to reduce carbon emissions on toll roads, in this Jasa Marga program also uses electric cars that utilize renewable energy, in collaboration with Hyundai," she said.

On the same occasion, Assistant Deputy for Infrastructure Services at the Ministry of SOEs Hendrika Nora Osloi Sinaga appreciated the Road Safety Rangers program. She said that this step shows Jasa Marga's commitment and concern in educating the public, in order to reduce the accident rate, especially on toll roads.

"This program can also increase awareness of the younger generation, that safe and safe driving is not only supported by good infrastructure, but also the behavior and habits of road users, which is also the most important thing," she said.

Nora also emphasized that safety driving behavior in driving can protect not only yourself but also others, so that it becomes a shared responsibility.

"All drivers, especially the younger generation, must be able to become role models in driving responsibilities, at least in their immediate environment," she asserted.

The series of programs started from the Road Safety Rangers webinar on November 25 with around 575 online participants and 60 offline participants attending. Then, continued with the Road Safety Rangers Training until the last, all the best participants took part in the Road Safety Rangers Safety Road Trip which was held today.
