JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) reported that it had just operated three supporting infrastructures worth Rp324.4 billion to meet electricity needs in the capital city of Jakarta.
General Manager of PLN UIP JBB Ratnasari Sjamsuddin said that this step was intended to anticipate the surge in electricity consumption in entering the economic recovery phase.
"This will support the availability of electricity to business and household customers who have started to grow again, especially in the West Jakarta electricity system," he said in an official statement, quoted on Sunday, December 12.
Ratna explained that the three infrastructures are Extension 2 Line Bay Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) 150 kV Grogol, High Voltage Cable Channel (SKTT) 150 kV Grogol–Tomang, and GIS 150 kV Tomang.
According to Ratna, the 150 kV Tomang GIS development was carried out using new technology to optimize land use in a limited area.
