Bank Mandiri Distributes Rp2.45 Trillion Loans To Help Hutama Karya's Business Expansion

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. It is said that they reached an agreement with PT Hutama Karya to provide loans totaling Rp. 2.45 trillion.

Bank Mandiri SVP of Corporate Banking Budi Purwanto said that Hutama Karya will use this fresh fund to finance business development, including its supplier/contractor partners.

"From the financing value, IDR 2.2 trillion is the working capital credit limit given to Hutama Karya with a loan period of 12 months to finance projects that are being worked on. Meanwhile, Rp250 billion is the financing limit for the company's partners," he said in an official statement, Thursday, December 9.

According to Budi, credit from Bank Mandiri also plays a role in optimizing liquidity management so that projects can be completed on schedule.

"This value chain financing initiative is expected to help suppliers and subcontractors from Hutama Karya in obtaining accelerated payment receipts so as to increase financial liquidity and the quality of project work," he said.

This financing, he continued, is a form of Bank Mandiri's consistency in supporting the medium-sized business sector considering that this program can help provide capital solutions for business actors affected by COVID-19 so that the wheels of the economy can continue to run.

"Although the agreed limit is Rp250 billion, we do not rule out the possibility of an additional limit as the cooperation between the two companies develops. We are also ready to support other strategic business plans of Hutama Karya and other business groups," he said.

It doesn't stop there, this state-owned bank also takes the initiative to support the development and improvement of the welfare of Hutama Karya employees through offering employee payroll programs, such as employee financing solutions, as well as workshop programs to develop employee business skills.

On the same occasion, Hutama Karya's Director of Finance and Risk Management Hilda Savitri explained that the synergy of the two is an important step in supporting financial performance.

"Through support from Bank Mandiri, the company's suppliers and sub-contractors are expected to be able to use it to maintain company liquidity and improve performance in project implementation," he said.
