Goodyear Indonesia Introduces Assurance Maxguard SUV, Check Out The Advantages

JAKARTA - Goodyear Indonesia today announced the official launch of the Assurance MaxGuard SUV, a new member of the Goodyear Assurance Family. Designed to cater to the local market, the Assurance MaxGuard SUV provides 2-in-1 protection through superior grip and durability compared to its predecessor.

With Goodyear's advanced ActiveGrip Technology, the new Assurance MaxGuard SUV offers strong grip for superior steering control plus shorter braking distances on wet roads. Unique tread design with twice the number of biting edges and optimized compound distribution using ActiveGrip compound mixed with silica.

Meanwhile, DuraGuard technology begins by forming a stronger tire carcass to withstand scratches and punctures, while increasing performance durability with a dual-layer radial construction and steel belt that makes it stronger as a special construction for SUV applications.

The Assurance MaxGuard SUV also provides a quiet ride due to an improved tread pattern with a tilted block design, three noise-reducing ribs, and narrower tire treads for a quieter and more comfortable driving experience. This feature also extends longer mileage with increased tire tread depth, so that distribution becomes more optimal, while the shape of the cavity maximizes mileage performance can also be fulfilled.

President Director of Goodyear Indonesia & GM Commercial PBU Asean, Hugh Yun said, in Indonesia the trend of increasing demand for various types of SUV vehicles is quite significant, accounting for around 30 percent of new car sales in 2021. In particular, demand for the midsize SUV segment grows 10 percent every year, and this presents a significant opportunity for the industry as nearly 85 percent of tires measuring 17" and above are SUV tires.

Meanwhile, Arfianti Puspitarini, Consumer Product, Trade Marketing and Sales Operational Manager of Goodyear Indonesia, stated that the market in Indonesia is very attractive for Assurance MaxGuard SUV, especially considering its slowly improving condition as seen from the Consumer Confidence Index which increased from July to August through the implementation of strict Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"We are also aware of an increasing trend in sales of 17-inch tires, which are projected to double in the next five years. We are very optimistic about this opportunity," said Arfianti.

The Assurance MaxGuard SUV is available in 35" to 20" wheel diameters in 35 sizes. Its target vehicles are midsize SUV types including Volkswagen Tiguan, Honda CR-V, and HR-V, Ford Kuga, Toyota Fortuner and RAV4, and other popular midsize SUV models in the AP market.
