JAKARTA - AEON Co Ltd and AEON MALL Co Ltd will soon conduct the initial opening of AEON MALL Tanjung Barat on Thursday, November 18, 2021. AEON MALL Tanjung Barat itself is listed as the fourth shopping center in Indonesia, which is managed directly by PT AEON Mall Indonesia.

"In this initial partial opening, we are maximizing health protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, we hope to create a comfortable shopping environment to meet the expectations of people who have been waiting for the opening of AEON Mall Tanjung Barat," said AEON.

AEON MALL Tanjung Barat, which is located in the South Jakarta area, is about 15 kilometres to the south of downtown Jakarta. Within this area, there is a development project for the "Southgate" complex, which consists of offices, settlements, and apartments, which was built by Sinar Mas Land.

This project location is connected to the Tanjung Barat KRL Station and nearby is the Jakarta Outer Ring Road Toll Road, making it easy to access and making it a potential neighbourhood to be visited from a wider area.

AEON Mall Tanjung Barat is a shopping center with an area of 55,000 m2 and a floor area of around 97,000 m2, with a reinforced concrete structure with six floors, and three basement floors in the mall.

In addition, it is also equipped with a car park with a capacity of 1500 lots and 600 lots for motorbike parking. At this initial partial opening, AEON Mall Tanjung Barat also announced a number of tenants, starting from AEON Department Store Tanjung Barat as the core tenant.

Then, various brands such as H&M, UNIQLO, JD.ID Electronic, Funworld, Kidzooona, or Cinema XXI, which are listed as sub-core tenants. In addition, AEON Mall Tanjung Barat has also developed online services for visitors, in collaboration with the JD.ID market shop.

This new partnership is part of AEON Mall Tanjung Barat's commitment to provide a new experience in online shopping for people in Indonesia.

Along with this opening, AEON Mall Tanjung Barat is also intensifying the "Environment, Social, and Government" campaign, in the context of preserving the environment through a waste recycling program. In various corners of the mall, special sorting wastebaskets are placed, which can then be sorted and recycled.

In the future, AEON Mall Tanjung Barat will invite the public to increase awareness of the surrounding environment. The grand opening of AEON Mall Tanjung Barat is planned to be carried out in 2022.
