Sandiaga Uno Suggests 8 More Countries To Enter The List To Come To Bali: There Are Australia, Russia, And The Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, England, Switzerland, And Germany

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno proposed 8 additional countries that are allowed to make international flights to Bali. As is known, Bali has started receiving tourist visits since mid-October.

Sandi explained the reason behind the proposal was to stimulate the economy in the tourism sector. The tourism sector is one of the hardest hit due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

"We also propose 8 additional countries, starting from Austria, Australia, Denmark, with a low positivity rate and with a very possible returning home policy plus the UK, Switzerland, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands," said Sandiaga, quoted on Tuesday, November 2.

According to Sandiaga, since the flight doors to Bali were opened, there have been countries that want to go on tourism on the Island of the Gods. The country in question is India with a charter flight concept around mid-November.

"We are currently facilitating the details of its implementation, especially with regard to e-visa, Care to Protect, quarantine, transit rules and permits," he said.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said there was a request for an easing or release of quarantine from France. However, Sandiaga said the government could not accommodate this. According to him, what can be done is to reduce the quarantine period.

"For foreign travelers who have been fully vaccinated and follow the 3T protocol (testing, tracing, treatment) there will be a decision to reduce the number of quarantine days from 5 to 3 days," he said.

As is known, on October 14, 2021, the government will open access to international flights from 19 countries to Bali. Such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Hungary and Norway.

Regarding foreign tourists who may enter Bali, the departure requirements must be complete vaccination, negative results of PCR Swab test on D-3 before departure; fill out the International e-HAC application which is integrated with the PeduliLindung application and the Love Bali application.

Furthermore, they must have health insurance with a minimum coverage value of 100 thousand US dollars which includes financing for handling COVID-19.

Requirements for arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport must show completed documents according to the e-HAC application, immigration requirements, and take the PCR Swab test.

If the results are positive (no symptoms, mild, moderate, and severe symptoms), tourists will be taken to a hospital that has been determined by the Bali Provincial Government to undergo treatment or isolation. However, if the results are negative, tourists will be taken to the designated hotel to undergo quarantine for five days.
