Stories Of Arrogance Of Civil Servants On The Streets That Lead To Arrests

JAKARTA - A Civil Servant (PNS) is dealing with the law because of his arrogant attitude on the streets which leads to vandalism. He was arrested by the police for destroying someone else's car because of speeding on the streets.

The story begins when a civil servant from the Ministry of Manpower named Bagas drove the Cikampek toll road heading to Jakarta, precisely around kilometer 29, on Friday, April 24. Suddenly the car he was driving was overtaken by another driver.

Not receiving it, Bagas immediately sped up his car to catch up and asked the driver to pull over to the edge of the toll road. In fact, he had time to take out a penknife to force the car to stop.

Bagas' request was followed by the driver. After pulling over, Bagas got out of his car, which had stopped in front of the driver.

Without further ado, Bagas immediately scratched the driver's car with the pocket knife in his hand. However, the action was stopped when the owner of the car got out and turned out to be a high-ranking police officer with the rank of Brigadier General (Brigjen).

Terrified, Bagas immediately got into his car and fled. Meanwhile, the victim, Brigadier General Erwin Chahara Rusmana, immediately reported the incident to Polda Metro Jaya.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said, based on this report, investigators immediately traced the license plates of the perpetrators' vehicles. It didn't take long, the identity of the perpetrator was discovered and finally arrested.

"The person concerned is secured at his residence. We are tracing the data from the license plate of the perpetrator's car," said Yusri, Wednesday, April 29.

Yusri did not tell much about this case, he only said that the perpetrators were still under intensive investigation. From the examination, the perpetrator admitted that he was annoyed because the victim did not receive his car.

"The perpetrator was upset because he was overtaken but when he was given a look at the police card, he immediately ran away," said Yusri.

Meanwhile, Erwin asked the legal process to continue regardless of his figure. This aims to provide a deterrent effect so that there are no other victims.

"The rule of law must be upheld. The legal process is professional so that there are no other victims," said Erwin.

Erwin doesn't know the perpetrator. But from the information he got, Bagas was the son of a former high-ranking official at the Ministry of Manpower.

"The child is the former Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Manpower," said Erwin.

Head of Public Relations Bureau Soes Hindharno said, Bagas is an employee at the Ministry of Manpower. After the criminal process is complete, Bagas will be given firm guidance from his place of work.

"The coaching steps were carried out strictly in the midst of the Ministry's efforts to enforce discipline for ASNs within the Ministry of Manpower," said Soes.

He regretted this incident. Soes hopes that this case will finish with a good process.

"We really regret this incident and hope this case can be resolved quickly," concluded Soes.
