Mental Recovery Of Children Victims Of Tragedy Kanjuruhan Stadium Is Not An Easy Case

JAKARTA - M Yulianton (40) is a fan of Arema FC. During his single life, Yulianton often watches his favorite team directly, especially when playing at home, Kanjuruhan Stadium. However, after marrying Devi Ratna Sari (30), the pleasure was never done again.

When he found out that Arema FC was going to play a East Java derby match against Persebaya Surabaya on October 1, 2022, Yulianton's desire to watch Arema FC play again appeared. He deliberately invited his wife and son Alfiansyah (11) to come to the Kanjuruhan Stadium.

Meaning to make his child happy. But unfortunately, Yulianton and Devi died, while their child survived. Can leave the stadium without jostling.

The story was revealed by uncle Alfiansyah, Doni at the house of the late Yulianton, Jalan Bareng Raya, Malang, East Java, Monday (3/10).

"This is the first time his wife has been to the stadium and the child has also been the first time. The deceased had said that I wanted to make my child happy. It turned out to be fun for the last time," Doni said as quoted by Antara.

Alfiansyah also briefly told a story about the last condition of his parents when the incident occurred. The three of them tried to get out of the stadium when the riot started.

"When I was about to fall down, I immediately stood up. It was still with my father and mother. After I stood up I was pushed from behind and then saw my father fall," he said.

When meeting the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, Alfiansyah expressed his dream to become a police officer. The police, through the East Java Police, have also prepared scholarships for Alfiansyah.

"The Regional Police Chief has prepared schools to graduate from high school," said Dedi, Tuesday (4/10)

As for Alfiansyah's aspirations, the National Police will also facilitate of course by prioritizing professionalism. Dedi will assign Bhabinkamtibmas to provide guidance to the children of Pasutri who were victims of the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium.

Malang Police Chief Kombes Budi Hermanto added, "Currently he is still in grade 5 of elementary school, so we have to organize, such as physical condition, health," he said.

The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) is also preparing an educational scholarship program for children from parents who died in the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium. Scholarships are only intended for the mustahik community.

"For various assistances prepared, Baznas has coordinated with BAZNAS throughout East Java. InshaAllah will soon be implemented, while waiting for the data collection process," said Noor Achmad, chairman of Baznas in a written statement, Tuesday (4/10).

The Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Bintang Puspayoga, said that he had coordinated with a number of parties to handle victims. Starting from handling health recovery to opening a hotline to providing assistance to victims and families of victims.

Assistance is given according to need, especially starting from initial psychological assistance in collaboration with the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI) or collaborating with the University, especially the Faculty of Psychology, because in handling women and children's problems, it is as cross-cutting issues.

"We hope that such incidents will no longer be repeated and education to supporters must be made up again. So that in the future the activities of watching football matches that are loved by various ages and circles can be enjoyed without any worries," said Bintang in a written statement, Tuesday (4/10).

Of course, the Ministry of PPPA encourages all parties to conduct a total evaluation of the risk assessment of stadiums and plans to mitigate emergency conditions in stadiums in the event of riots and security factors for spectators, especially for women and children as vulnerable groups.

"All parties must understand in carrying out procedures to accommodate the security and comfort of all spectators, including people with disabilities, women and children," said Bintang.

KPAI Commissioner Retno Listyarti also regretted the attitude of PT LIB which rejected the recommendation of the Malang Police to change the match schedule to 15.30 WIB.

Based on data from the Postmortem Post-mortem Center of Malang Regency Government, Tuesday (4/10) at 02.00 WIB, the death toll from the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium was 133 people. With details, 42 women, 91 men, and 37 children with a age range of 3-17 years. Also, 18 victims have not been identified.
