Chronology Of The Assassination Of Brigadier J: From The Establishment Of The Timsus To The Mutation Of 24 Police Personnel

JAKARTA - The process of uncovering the case of Brigadier J's murder is still ongoing. Based on the autopsy results, both teams of forensic doctors stated that Brigadier J had been shot dead. There were 5 gunshot wounds based on the direction of entry of the bullets and 4 gunshot wounds due to the exit trajectory of the bullets.

"However, the fatal results were two gunshot wounds to the head and chest," said the head of the forensic doctor team, Ade Firmansyah, to reporters at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Monday (22/8).

Brigadier J's family lawyer, Kamarudin Simanjuntak previously said that the autopsy results from 2 family doctors stated that there were 4 gunshot wounds to Brigadier J's body.

"On the back of the head which penetrated the nose, on the jawbone which penetrated to the right lip, on the left chest, and on the wrist penetrated 6 cm deep," he said on July 30, 2022.

Currently, the results of the autopsies on the bodies of Brigadier J are still officially awaiting information from the Criminal Investigation Department. Previously, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the shooter of Brigadier J was Bharada E (Richard Eliezer).

"He shot on orders from Brother FS (Ferdy Sambo) using a pistol belonging to Brigadier Ricky Rizal," he said on August 9, 2022.

Brigadier RR's pistol is a Glock 17, one of the most common types of pistols used by police and military personnel around the world.

Glock 17, as reported by the US Glock website, has a capacity of 17 bullets with a low weapon weight. In an empty condition without a magazine, the gun, which has a total length of 204 millimeters, weighs 625 grams. When the bullet is fully loaded, the Glock 17 weighs 915 grams. The Glock 17 is operated using 9×19 mm caliber bullets. It has a short recoil system, with a bullet speed of 1,230 feet per second (ft/s). The effective shooting range using this weapon is 50 meters. This pistol uses Browning's cam-lock system modified from a high-power pistol.

Estimated Chronology of Events

The assassination of Brigadier J was carried out at the official residence of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on July 8, 2022 after the return of the Ferdy Sambo Family including his aides from Magelang.

Ferdy Sambo asked Ricky and Richard's ability to shoot Brigadier J at Saguling's house on the 3rd floor. Putri was also there. Next, Putri Candrawathi took Brigadier RR alias Ricky Rizal, Bharada E alias Richard Eliezer and Kuwat Maruf to Duren Tiga, Kalibata, South Jakarta, or the location of the incident. According to Dirtipidum, all witnesses to the incident stated that the deceased Brigadier Josua was not in the house. Brigadier J entered the crime scene (TKP) of the official residence at the Duren Tiga Complex Number 46 after being called by Ferdy Sambo. (Furthermore, it is assumed that the shooting took place).

Based on Bharada E's confession to Komnas HAM, Ferdy Sambo was the first to shoot twice. However, Komnas HAM emphasized that this information must be investigated.

"Note, that's Bharada E's statement, it must be re-evaluated," said Head of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Ahmad Taufan Damanik, Monday (22/8).

Information from Bharada E's lawyer, Ronny Talapessy, Tuesday (16/8),

Bharada E shot Brigadier J 3-4 times on the orders of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Brigadier J's hands were in front of his chest when he was shot.

Still from Komnas HAM, after carrying out the shooting, Ferdy Sambo ordered Bripka Ricky Rizal, Strong Maruf, and Richard Eliezer to gather. Then, Ferdy Sambo gave scenario directions so that it seemed as if a shooting incident occurred at the crime scene (TKP).

Brother FS fired Brigadier J's gun into the wall several times to give the impression that a gunfight had taken place.

According to the police's initial statement, Brigadier J used an HS pistol with a 16-round magazine.

Case Motive:

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD said that the motive was sensitive, possibly only for adults to hear. The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, was reluctant to reveal the motive for the premeditated murder case against Brigadier J, fearing that he would disappoint the families of the victims and perpetrators.

"Because this is an investigation material and everything will be tested in court, God willing, it will be presented at trial," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo.

Police Mutation

In order to thoroughly investigate the case of Brigadier J's murder, a special team of the National Police is also conducting a special examination of 83 members of the National Police. As many as 35 of them have received recommendations for special placements.

Then, based on the National Police Chief's telegram Number: ST/1751/VIII/KEP/2022, dated August 22, 2022, the National Police Chief also transferred 24 personnel to the National Police Headquarters Service (Yanma) for allegedly violating the code of ethics in the investigation into the murder of Brigadier J.

The 24 personnel consisted of 4 large commissioners (kombes), 5 assistant police commissioners (AKBP), and 2 police commissioners (kompol).

Furthermore, 4 adjutant police commissioners (AKP), 2 first inspectors (IPTU), 1 second inspector (IPDA), 1 chief brigadier, one brigadier, two first brigadiers, and 2 bharadas.
