Haji Lulung: Young People Have A Big Role In PPP

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the DKI Jakarta United Development Party (PPP) Abraham Lunggana or who is familiarly called Haji Lulung said that young people have a strategic role to help grow the party bearing the symbol of the Kaaba.

"I am confident that I can collaborate with young people in leading the DKI Jakarta PPP during his leadership as the Chair of the DKI Jakarta PPP DPW," said Lulung, Friday, September 17.

Haji Lulung said that returning to PPP and leaving his seat in Senayan was a call to return to the party he considered to be fighting for the aspirations of Muslims.

He admitted that so far many habibs and ulemas have asked him to return to PPP. Haji Lulung believes that PPP as a party based on Islam can become a spearhead of religious harmony in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Regional Deliberation Committee (Muswil) III for the Young Generation of Indonesian Development (GMPI) DKI Jakarta, Islahuddin, said the presence of Haji Lulung was a new chapter in the rise of PPP in the capital.

Haji Lulung, he said, is a figure who becomes a strong magnet for the people of Jakarta. GMPI Jakarta as a PPP autonomous body which consists of creative young people is increasingly optimistic that many constituents will return to the Kaaba party.

Islah said GMPI Jakarta is currently working on restructuring and regeneration to strengthen the ranks of young people in PPP.

Muswil is the first step for GMPI Jakarta to strengthen the structure which then recruits as many young cadres as possible. It is believed that the GMPI Muswil will give birth to a new management with a new spirit.

"It's time for GMPI to wake up from its long slumber to help PPP, especially in DKI Jakarta, to become a big party that can channel the aspirations of young people," he said.
