The Vice President's Palace at IKN is open to the public on August 15-17

JAKARTA - The Vice Presidential Palace in the Capital of Nusantara (IKN) is open for public visits starting tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, 2026. The opening of the Vice President's office will be carried out until Monday, August 17.

Quoted from the upload of the official Instagram account of the IKN Authority @otorita_ikn, Friday, August 14, the opening of the Presidential Palace visit for the public was carried out in order to enliven the 81st Anniversary (HUT) of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

"This visit is an opportunity for the public who want to see the area and atmosphere in the Vice President's Palace environment," read the caption of the upload.

The public can visit the Presidential Palace on August 15-17, 2026 starting at 10.00-17.00 WITA and enter through the Democracy Plaza Gate.

For the rules of the visit, visitors are only allowed to be in the designated visit area. It is prohibited to enter other restricted areas without official permission.

Visitors are advised to wear long-sleeved shirts, pants or long skirts that cover the knees and shoes. In addition, the clothes worn by visitors must not be open.

Visitors are allowed to take photos and videos only in locations that have been allowed by officers and must comply with the applicable documentation provisions.

Every visitor is required to comply with all directions from officers and follow the applicable visit provisions.

The IKN Authority also regulates a ban on visitors to the IKN Presidential Palace. The following is the list of prohibitions:

1. Carrying firearms/sharp weapons; 2. Carrying narcotics and prohibited drugs; 3. Smoking/vaping; 4. Committing immoral acts; 5. Wearing sleeveless shirts/t-shirts; 6. Wearing shorts, mini skirts, jeans; 7. Wearing sandals; 8. Making noise; 9. Committing vandalism; 10. Carrying food and drinks; 11. Flying drones; and 12. Carrying pets.
