MBG Corruption Case Continues, 12 Witnesses Examined and Assets Traced

JAKARTA - The prosecutor's team of young special criminal prosecutors (Jampidsus) actually scheduled the summoning of 22 witnesses in the case of alleged corruption in the management of the free nutritious meal program (MBG) at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Tuesday, August 11. Of these, 12 witnesses, including those who meet the investigator's call.

"Those who attended the call of the investigators were 12 witnesses," said the Head of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, in his statement, Wednesday, August 12.

The witnesses who attended were initials O as a supporting staff for the PPK for the procurement of tablets at BGN, RHG as an employee of BGN, WH as a TBCS Foundation employee, GDF as an employee of BGN, Z as an employee of BGN. Then YCS, RRNWP as the head secretary of BGN, RE as the finance / finance staff of PT GSN, the PT KSK party, the director of PT BPK, AR as the director of PT EC, and DRP as the head of the SPPG of the SPB Foundation.

They were questioned in order to strengthen the evidence for the case. Investigators are now still focusing on collecting evidence, clarifying the construction of the case, to tracing assets suspected of being the result of criminal acts.

"The investigation team will continue to convey the development of the handling of the case to the public in accordance with the needs and provisions of laws and regulations," he concluded.

In this case, the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) initially appointed three former BGN leaders, Dadan Hindayana (DH), Lodewyk Pusung (LP), and Sony Sonjaya (SS). They stumbled upon a case of alleged corruption in the management of the MBG program at BGN for the 2025-2026 period.

Investigators then developed and arrested new suspects in this case. They are private Asep Yusuf Soemantri (AYS), commissioner of PT YAT Andri Mulyono (AM), Chairman of the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation (IFSR) Glory Harimas Sihombing (GHS), to the Deputy Secretary for Promotion and Cooperation BGN Lalu Muhammad Iwan (LMI).
