Pramono Wants Persija to Be a Driver of Jakarta Sport Tourism, JIS is Prepared as the Main Cage

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung wants Persija Jakarta not only to be a football club, but also part of the strategy for the development of sports tourism in the capital. The DKI Provincial Government is opening wider opportunities for the organization of sports matches to concerts in Jakarta to attract visits from outside the region.

According to him, Bank Jakarta's collaboration with Persija Jakarta does not stop at the presence of the logo on the jersey of the team nicknamed Macan Kemayoran. The cooperation is aimed at bringing together the football ecosystem, supporter community, financial services, and technology in an experience that can be felt directly by the community.

Pramono assessed that the collaboration between Bank Jakarta and Persija could strengthen the ecosystem formed around the club. The synergy, according to him, can be part of efforts to build an increasingly strong relationship between Persija, the community, and Jakarta.

Therefore, Pramono said Jakarta would provide ease for various sports and entertainment agendas, including the use of major stadiums such as the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).

"Football matches, other sports we are open to it. Including concerts that may not have been willing to play in Jakarta. Now whether it's at GBK, at JIS or elsewhere, we are open and we provide ease for various things," said Pramono, Monday, August 10.

On the other hand, the DKI Provincial Government has also prepared JIS as the main home of Persija Jakarta. Pramono said the government was improving transportation access and supporting facilities to the stadium in North Jakarta.

According to him, the government will coordinate with Persija management, The Jakmania, and the DKI Provincial Government to regulate the use of the stadium so that there will be no more clashes with other agendas.

Pramono hopes Persija can play the match with better support facilities and provide a comfortable experience for spectators.

"That way I really want Persija to feel the match with a sense of security, comfort and feel proud that the match for Jakarta is a match for himself and also a match for his family," he said.

He assessed that Persija has an important position in building the identity and pride of the people of Jakarta.

"For me, one of the things to build Jakarta is to build pride, and Persija has become one of the pride of Jakarta residents," said Pramono.

In addition to preparing the stadium, the DKI Provincial Government has also improved access to JIS. Currently, the KRL service already has a stop in the JIS area even though its capacity is still limited.

The government has also prepared a parking bag scheme in the Ancol area to reduce vehicle density around the stadium. In this scheme, Persija spectators who park their vehicles in Ancol will only be charged a parking fee without paying the entrance ticket to the area.

"I have asked JIS and Ancol to treat it. So people will really make the most of parking at Ancol," said Pramono.

On the same occasion, Bank Jakarta President Director Agus Haryoto Widodo said the cooperation with Persija was aimed at bringing together the football ecosystem, supporter community, financial services, and technology.

"Therefore, for us this cooperation is not just a sponsorship. It's not just about the Bank Jakarta logo on the Persija jersey. We want to bring together two big Jakarta ecosystems, Persija with football, a community and an extraordinary passion, namely The Jakmania Bank Jakarta with the financial services, technology and city ecosystem that we serve," said Agus.

According to him, the collaboration is expected to develop into a partnership that presents concrete benefits for Persija and The Jakmania, as well as expanding Bank Jakarta's interaction with the Jakarta community.
