Prabowo Receives Report on Income and Intermediary Increased by 400 Percent, Ask to Be Audited

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said he received a report that Danantara's revenue increased by about 400 percent in one year. However, he asked that the figure be checked and audited.

Prabowo conveyed this when attending the 50th anniversary of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia as well as the launch of 10 books at the Jakarta Theater, Friday, August 7.

"In one year of operating Danantara, I have received reports that the revenue, income from Danantara has increased by 400 percent, approximately," said Prabowo.

He did not immediately consider the figure as the final result.

"This must continue to be audited, we must check it," he said.

Prabowo said that even though the final figure did not reach 400 percent, the growth of 300 percent or even 200 percent was still considered large.

"Even if it's not 400 percent, 300 percent or 200 percent, it's significant. This is a significant increase in one year of work," he said.

Prabowo did not explain in his speech the basis for calculating the increase, the comparison period, or the components of the income in question.

He included Danantara's achievements as one of the government's results which he thought were starting to be seen.

In addition to Danantara, Prabowo mentioned food self-sufficiency, energy management, bridge construction, and school improvement.

According to Prabowo, the government has approached the construction of 2,500 bridges in villages. He also targets more than 70,000 schools to be repaired by the end of the year and 100,000 schools the following year.

Prabowo said that these achievements must still be examined based on actual results, not just reports.

He emphasized that the government still has time to improve the performance of the cabinet and solve the needs of the community that have not been met.
