JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the investigation into the alleged corruption case of the distribution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds of the Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) was still progressing, even though it had been a year since the suspects had not been detained.
The KPK previously issued a preliminary investigation order (sprindik) for the case on August 5, 2025, and announced the establishment of a suspect on August 7, 2025.
"Regarding the BI-OJK CSR case, we ensure that the investigation of the case is still progressing positively," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo, at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday evening.
According to Budi, the positive progress was seen with the summoning and examination of witnesses to the search and seizure of a number of evidence.
"This is the first step of the KPK in optimizing asset recovery (state financial recovery, Red.) so that when it comes to the trial stage and the panel of judges declares that the person concerned is proven to be legally and convincingly guilty, then the assets are confiscated for the state or become part of the payment of compensation. This will be more optimal because the seizure has been carried out since the early stages," he said.
Currently, the KPK is still investigating the alleged corruption case in the distribution of funds for corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) programs or in the use of Bank Indonesia Social Program (PSBI) and Financial Service Advisor (PJK) funds for 2020-2023.
The matter began with a report on the results of the analysis of the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) and public complaints. Then, the KPK conducted a general investigation since December 2024.
KPK investigators have searched a number of locations suspected of storing evidence related to the case.
Some of these locations are the Bank Indonesia Building on Thamrin Street, Central Jakarta, which was searched on December 16, 2024, and the Financial Services Authority Office which was searched on December 19, 2024.
On August 7, 2025, the anti-corruption agency named members of the Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period, Satori (ST) and Heri Gunawan (HG) as suspects in the case. Both are currently members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period.
