DKI Provincial Government Targets to Transport the Entire Waste of the Kramat Jati Wild TPS in 5 Days

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environmental Service (LH) has started to transport all piles of garbage at the location of the illegal garbage disposal site in Dukuh Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, after the fire at the location was confirmed to be completely extinguished today.

Transportation is carried out in full from today. Previously, officers still prioritized the extinguishing process so that waste cleaning could not be done optimally.

Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Regional Government, Yogi Ikhwan, said during the fire, transportation could only be carried out for waste on the edge that had not burned.

"If yesterday the focus was on extinguishing, so that those on the edges were extinguished, we could transport them. But after it was extinguished, we fought it to the end," Yogi told the governor, Monday, August 3.

The LH Office targets all the garbage in the illegal TPS location to be transported within about four to five days. Yogi claims that the transportation process will be carried out until the location is completely clean.

"Starting today. In about four to five days, everything will be fine, God willing, all transportation will be completed," said Yogi.

After the cleaning is complete, the LH Office will close the illegal waste disposal activities at the location. The steps prepared include the installation of a ban on throwing garbage and joint supervision by regional officials.

"We put up a ban banner and we coordinate with the head of the village and the head of the village to have officers who will supervise there," he said.

However, Yogi has not confirmed the schedule for installing the prohibition banners because he is still waiting for coordination with the law enforcement team.

"For the time, we will inform you later. We will coordinate with the gakkumnya," said Yogi.

Previously, a major fire hit a wild TPS in the Kramat Jati area on Saturday, August 1, 2026. During the extinguishing process, the head of the C Damkar Team Regu Cipayung Sector, Andriyono, died after complaining of chest pain while on duty to put out the fire. The fire was finally declared completely extinguished on Monday, August 3, 2026.
