JAKARTA - BRI has once again shown its role as the main engine of financing the national housing sector. This is reflected in the achievement of the distribution of People's Business Loans (KUR) for Housing which has exceeded the target units set by the government in the 3 Million House Program in 2026.

In a meeting with the Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait in Jakarta, Tuesday (21/7), BRI President Director Hery Gunardi revealed that as of July 2026, the realization of the distribution of BRI Housing KUR has reached Rp. 10.6 trillion or around 88.3% of the target of Rp. 12 trillion given by the government. In terms of units, this achievement has even reached 77,592 units or 167% of the target of 46,230 units.

"For the Housing KUR itself, BRI's achievement is close to 89%. Therefore, the target in the future will also be increased," said Hery.

In addition to the Housing KUR, BRI also continues to accelerate the distribution of the Prosperous Home Ownership Loan through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. As of July 20, 2026, the realization of FLPP that has been distributed by BRI has reached 19,075 units.

Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait gave special appreciation to BRI's contribution, which was considered to be the bank with the best performance in distributing the Housing KUR. According to him, BRI's contribution is the largest compared to other banking institutions.

"In this week we discussed the KUR twice with the President. The first was in Hambalang last week, the second was yesterday, which was also reported in the briefing by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs about KUR. The highest achievement of all KUR is the Housing KUR, and the highest Housing KUR is the performance achievement of Bank BRI," said Maruarar.

Data shows that BRI holds a strategic position in the 3 Million House Program as well as a driving force for the distribution of Housing KUR. From the national target of Housing KUR of 88,535 units with a ceiling of Rp. 50 trillion, BRI's target share reaches 46,230 units or around 52.2% of the national target. Meanwhile, in terms of the ceiling, BRI's target contribution reaches 24% of the total national target.

Not only that, BRI also takes a significant portion of the overall national housing financing program. From the national target of 430,535 units, BRI received a financing mandate of 148,535 units or about 34.5% of the national target.

On the other hand, BRI emphasized that it was ready to meet the target for the distribution of KUR Perumahan until the end of the year. "KUR Perumahan is a subsidized program. So, the pricing or interest given to customers is only 6% per year or about 0.5% per month. Therefore, the installments are still very affordable. This makes people enthusiastic. If we look at it, the growth of distribution is also quite high and I think it will continue until the end of the year," explained Hery Gunardi.

This commitment reinforces BRI's position as a strategic partner of the government in supporting the equitable access to decent and affordable housing for low-income people, as well as accelerating the realization of the 3 Million House Program which is one of the national priority agendas. (ADV)
