People's House is Still Less, Prabowo asks the Big to Help the Small

BATANG - President Prabowo Subianto asked the government, banks, developers, and national private sector to work as a team to accelerate the provision of people's homes. He called this approach Indonesia Incorporated.

Prabowo made the statement when he attended the Mass Akad 62,000 Units of Subsidized House KPR and Rp880 billion Housing KUR in Batang Regency, Central Java, Wednesday, July 30, 2026.

According to Prabowo, the government has recorded important achievements in the housing sector. However, he admitted that the need for decent housing for the people is still very large.

"The achievements we have achieved are really significant. However, we realize that there is still much more that our people need," said Prabowo.

He said the housing program could not only rely on one ministry. It requires joint work between the Ministry of Housing, developers, banks, the Housing Savings Management Agency or TAPERA, Bank Indonesia, SOEs, and national private companies.

Prabowo said the support of Himbara banks and national private banks was an important part of the big job.

"This is what we mean by Indonesia Incorporated, which is big helping the small, and the small working hard to be productive," he said.

Prabowo emphasized that a decent house is not a small matter. For the people, a house is a place to take refuge, build a family, and start a safer life.

Therefore, the government will continue to find ways to double the number of houses that can be enjoyed by the community.

"It is our determination that all Indonesian citizens can have a decent home," said Prabowo.

In the event, the mass KPR house subsidy contract was held simultaneously at 165 points, spread across 372 districts and cities in 36 provinces.

Prabowo said he was proud that the government could give happiness to tens of thousands of families. However, he did not want the achievement to make the government feel satisfied.

He asked all parties to work more compactly. Prabowo said Indonesia must move as a team.

"We have to be one. One team. One team. The key is cooperation," he said.

Prabowo also said the government was studying new ways to accelerate house construction. He said Indonesia should not be ashamed to learn from other countries as long as the goal was for the people.

According to Prabowo, big countries need big courage. Including the courage to learn from the experiences of other nations, to find breakthroughs, and to adapt them to Indonesia's needs.

"I don't want to make many promises. However, we will continue to carry out the plans that have been prepared," said Prabowo.
