Mass Deed 62,000 Subsidized Mortgage, Maruarar Says Banks and Developers Move Under One Command

BATANG - Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning Maruarar Sirait said the mass contract for 62,000 units of subsidized housing mortgages was proof that the government, banks, TAPERA, and developers were moving quickly to expand access to housing for the community.

The statement was made by Maruarar or commonly called Ara in the Mass Akad 62,000 Units of Subsidized House KPR and Rp880 billion Housing KUR in Batang Regency, Central Java, Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Ara said the event was prepared in a short time. He said the schedule change happened suddenly, but the ministry, TAPERA, banking, and BRI remained ready to carry out the agenda.

"One command, even though we were only told in the afternoon, we are ready. Today thousands are present," said Ara.

He also touched on the role of Himbara member banks in distributing home financing. According to Ara, BRI is the bank with the highest distribution of home mortgages.

"This, sir, the highest home mortgage is BRI," he said.

For subsidized houses, Ara said BTN was still the highest. He asked BTN President Director Nixon to stand up and received applause from the participants.

"For subsidized houses, the highest is BTN," said Ara.

Besides BRI and BTN, the event was also attended by the heads of BNI, Mandiri, Syariah Bank, as well as a number of related financing institutions and SOEs.

Ara said the subsidized housing program could not run with only one ministry. He said there was a need for joint work between the government, banks, developers, TAPERA, local governments, and other institutions.

He also asked developers to be appreciated for fighting to ensure that people are not hindered from owning a home.

In the event, President Prabowo Subianto, a number of ministers, heads of agencies, governors, regents, mayors, banks, developers, and beneficiaries of housing programs were present.

This mass marriage is part of the government's efforts to accelerate the provision of subsidized houses for the public. Ara emphasized that cross-agency work must continue to be maintained so that people's access to houses does not stop at ceremonial events.
