JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were two clusters of alleged corruption that ensnared Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo after Anom and three suspects were detained after being caught in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Tuesday evening, July 28. The first cluster, Anom as the Regent of Pemalang allegedly asked his subordinates for money until the private party.

"The second cluster is related to the alleged criminal act of extortion carried out by KPK officials to the Pemalang Regent," Budi told reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 30.

"Based on the two clusters of investigations, based on the sufficiency of valid evidence, investigators have then named four people as suspects," continued Budi.

Regarding the second cluster, extortion was allegedly carried out by a private party named Lilik Budi Suprianto and Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto as members of the Police who were assigned to the KPK in the administration.

Budi said that the determination of the suspect had been carried out through an expose forum or a trial. "On this occasion, the KPK also confirms that every case handling that the KPK carries out is carried out objectively, transparently, and accountable, including if the case also involves KPK officials themselves," he said.

"This is a manifestation of the KPK's commitment to ensuring the integrity pillar is upheld both in the KPK institution and in every person of the Corruption Eradication Commission."

Meanwhile, Anom irit spoke after wearing an orange vest. "We understand the situation, we apologize," he said before getting into the KPK detention car.

As previously reported, the KPK again held an OTT and secured 21 people in the Central Java and Jakarta regions. One of those secured was Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro.
