Not Yet Appointed, Praja IPDN Deployed for a Month to Handle Aceh Disaster

SUMEDANG - The Pamong Praja Muda Force XXXIII IPDN has been deployed for one month to help handle disasters in Aceh before being officially inaugurated. President Prabowo Subianto called the assignment an initial test of the apparatus' dedication to the people.

"Brothers are the Pamong Praja force who have been directly involved for a month helping to handle the disaster in Aceh," said Prabowo at the inauguration ceremony in Sumedang, West Java, Wednesday, July 29.

According to Prabowo, the assignment shows that IPDN graduates are required to work when the community faces difficulties, even before assuming the official status as a village head.

Prabowo said that the choice to become a government apparatus was not a light path. The task requires sacrifice, courage, and readiness to be present when the community needs help.

"Brothers must be Pamong Praja who are present when the people are facing difficulties. You must be a beacon of hope," he said.

He emphasized that the people's servants were not merely holders of titles or honorary positions. The value of an apparatus is determined by the benefits felt by the people.

Prabowo asked for the experience of handling disasters in Aceh to be used as a basis for carrying out tasks in the region. The apparatus must be able to work quickly, build coordination, and prioritize the interests of the community.

Wherever they are placed, IPDN graduates will be representatives of the state in front of the people. Therefore, they are required to work honestly, clean, disciplined, and not leave the people in difficult situations.

"Now you are the servants of the people. You must serve, protect, and care for the community as best you can," said Prabowo.
