JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police together with the South Jakarta Metro Police are investigating the cause of the death of a man named Sutrimo on Thursday (23/7) who was found unconscious in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday, explained that based on initial information, the victim was found lying in the yard of the Mordent Clinic, Kebayoran Baru.

"The victim was then taken by ambulance to Muhammadiyah Hospital Taman Puring. However, the hospital explained that Sutrimo arrived in a state of death," said Budi.

Following up on the incident, investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police and the South Jakarta Metro Police are collecting evidence to find out the exact chronology of the incident.

Budi explained that the police were clarifying a number of witnesses, including the victim's family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff, and other parties who knew about the incident.

In addition, investigators are also examining the victim's medical records, the history of ambulance orders, and investigating the location where the deceased was first found.
