BADUNG - The Badung Police revealed the motive behind the shooting case that injured a foreign national from Morocco and a security officer at a nightclub (THM) in the Canggu area, Badung, Bali.
Kapolres Badung AKBP Joseph Edward Purba said the perpetrator with the initials HSH (49), an Indonesian citizen from Cipete, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, was known to have fired because of emotions while under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

According to the Police Chief, the shooting incident occurred on Friday (17/7) early morning at around 02.50 Wita at a nightclub on Jalan Pantai Berawa, Canggu, North Kuta District, Badung Regency.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 306 of the Criminal Code regarding possession and use of firearms without rights with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, as well as Article 466 (paragraph 2) of the Criminal Code regarding persecution resulting in serious injury with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
