Prabowo Emphasizes He Will Not Tolerate Officials Who Harm the People

MALANG - President Prabowo Subianto has stressed that he will not tolerate government officials, bureaucrats, and state-owned enterprise managers who make policies that harm the community or steal state funds.

Prabowo conveyed the warning when attending the Simultaneous Harvest with the TNI in Malang, East Java, Friday, July 17, 2026.

"We don't want tolerance for those who are trusted by the people, who are paid by the people, but implement policies that harm the people," said Prabowo.

"Especially stealing people's money. We do not tolerate. I do not tolerate. I will not hesitate," he continued.

Prabowo said this attitude is especially true for those who get a job through the people's choice or those who work in the government, bureaucracy, and state-owned enterprises.

He also said the government was carrying out a massive crackdown on various illegal activities.

The activities include smuggling, illegal mining, illegal plantations, illegal fishing, and illegal trading practices.

"We are holding a massive crackdown on all illegal activities," he said.

Prabowo did not specify the number of cases, companies, officials, or the value of state losses that were being handled in the operation.

He stated that the government wanted to regain national wealth so that the benefits could be felt by the community.

According to Prabowo, Indonesia does not want to be hostile to other countries and still opens up friendly relations. However, the government will not accept practices that make national wealth continue to be taken without giving the people the benefits that are commensurate.

He asked officials who were paid by the state to work quickly and not to use their positions as a way to seek personal gain.

Prabowo also linked the eradication of illegal activities with the agenda of food, energy, and water self-sufficiency.
