JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is ready to provide data containing an analysis of the wealth report of state administrators (LHKPN) of the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah if requested by the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung).

The statement was made by KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when asked about Febrie's house in Sentul which had been searched some time ago by the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor). From the forced effort, the police found many evidence allegedly related to suspected corruption which was allegedly not reported.

"Because this case is then being processed at the Prosecutor's Office, of course the KPK is also open if it is needed later to support data related to the LHKPN FA which is reported periodically every year to the KPK, so that what is done by the (directorate, red) KPK prevention can also support the processes of enforcement that are now running at the Prosecutor's Office," Budi told reporters, Tuesday night, July 14.

Budi explained that the submission of LHKPN was in the realm of prevention, and that a proactive search had been carried out by the anti-corruption commission. However, the provision of support for the data is different from the supervision that is the authority of the KPK based on Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission.

Supervision is the authority of the KPK to carry out supervision, research, and review of agencies authorized to eradicate corruption, namely the police and the prosecutor's office.

In this mechanism, the KPK can take over the investigation or prosecution of corruption cases that are being handled by the Police or the Prosecutor's Office if: (a). public reports are not followed up, (b). the process is slow or stalled, (c). there are systemic obstacles, or (d). the case has a wide impact. The takeover is carried out at the request of the KPK after coordination, not unilaterally.

"Different things, related to the support for this LHKPN data are also commonly carried out, including for cases handled by the KPK. So, the prosecution can ask for data support for prevention, whether it is LHKPN or a gratification report, perhaps there have been reports, and studies in monitoring can be data support, information support for enrichment in legal processes that are running at the KPK," explained Budi.

"Likewise, when other law enforcement officers are handling a case, the KPK is often asked for support for LHKPN data. So, this is not specific to the context of coordination of supervision which can later be carried out by the KPK," he continued.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK, Aminudin, had revealed that Febrie's house in Sentul, Bogor, was not in his own name. His ownership was said to use a nominee who had no family relationship.

"The LHKPN in question has been examined. It is suspected that the person in question uses a nominee who has no family relationship so that it is not detected in the examination," Aminudin told reporters via written message, Friday, July 10.

As previously reported, Febrie Adriansyah as a former Jampidsus was officially named a suspect. The National Police's Anti-Corruption Crime Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) has determined that Febrie is involved in the alleged corruption and money laundering crime (TPPU).

This case is an expansion of the investigation of the Polri's Corruption and Crime Investigation Agency regarding alleged corruption and money laundering allegedly related to the supply of coal for the PLTU owned by PT PLN, handling the PT ASABRI (Persero) case, to the settlement of PT Krakatau Steel's debt. Attorney Don Ritto was also named a suspect.

After the determination of the suspect was made, the Corruption Court announced an agreement to transfer this case to the Attorney General's Office. This is because the three alleged corruption cases were handled by the Adhyaksa Corps first and as a form of synergy.
