TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan Police Chief (Kaltara) Irjen Agus Wijayanto for the first time led the morning appeal of North Kalimantan Police personnel at the Mapolda Kaltara Apel Field.

In his inaugural mandate, he emphasized the importance of humanistic service professionalism, as well as strengthening public confidence as the main foundation for carrying out police duties.

"I appreciate all the personnel who have succeeded in the series of activities for the handover of the post and farewell to the Regional Police Chief, starting from the reception to the delivery of the previous official, Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy. The smooth running of the activities reflects the solidity, loyalty, and spirit of togetherness in the Kaltara Regional Police environment," said Inspector General Agus, Monday, July 13.

He assessed that the challenges of the current Polri duty are increasingly complex. In addition to carrying out law enforcement functions, the police are also required to maintain security stability, maintain social harmony, and build public compliance in the midst of technological developments and global dynamics.

"All these tasks must be carried out professionally, humanistically, responsive, transparent, and accountable in order to maintain the dignity of the institution and strengthen public confidence," he said.

The Police Chief also introduced the North Kalimantan Police Commander Wish as a guideline for the implementation of the duties of all personnel. This concept is built on five main pillars, namely Safe Territory, Strong Institutions, Great Synergy, Serving the Community, and Safeguarding Trust, which are directed to strengthen the maintenance of public security and order, public services, law enforcement, and the implementation of the Polri Precision transformation on the Benuanta Earth.

The Police Chief also gave a number of directions to his staff, including strengthening security maintenance in border areas, increasing internal solidarity, strengthening synergy with all elements of society, optimizing public services including the 110 Police emergency service, and tightening supervision of members to prevent violations of discipline and the code of ethics.

According to him, public trust is the main capital that must be maintained through sincere and ethical services.

"Public trust is not built with ranks and uniforms, but with presence, sincerity of service, and courage to maintain trust in every task," he said.

Irjen Agus invited all personnel of the Kaltara Police to continue to work professionally, responsibly, and uphold integrity in carrying out their duties.

"Let's work properly, professionally, and with integrity. The honor of a member of the National Police is born from his attitude, service, and responsibility to the community," he said.
