JAKARTA - The Nagan Raya Police detained two officers of the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) in the case of alleged embezzlement of subsidized fuel in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh.

For their actions, the two gas station operators were charged with Article 55 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas, as amended by Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Determination of the Job Creation Perppu in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the New Criminal Code (Law Number 1 of 2023) regarding participation in criminal acts.
AKP Muhammad Rizal explained that the arrest and detention of the two suspects were carried out by the police on Tuesday (7/7) at around 21.00 WIB, after investigators had sufficient evidence through a series of case development actions.
AKP Muhammad Rizal emphasized that the Satreskrim of the Nagan Raya Police was committed to taking firm action against the misuse of subsidized fuel which was detrimental to the state and the wider community.
"The investigation process is still ongoing intensively. We will continue to investigate this matter to uncover the possibility of the involvement of other parties in the illegal fuel distribution network in the jurisdiction of the Nagan Raya Police.
