JAYAPURA - The Joint Command for the Defense Region (Kogabwilhan) III is preparing TNI personnel to secure the airport facility (lapter) which is classified as vulnerable to security in Papua.
"Kogabwilhan III will carry out security in places that fall into the category of vulnerable, including security at the airport," said the Commander of Kogabwilhan III, Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto, who was contacted by ANTARA from Jayapura, Wednesday.
He added that preparations to secure the vulnerable lapter are currently underway and hopes that the process can be completed soon.
"The TNI will make every effort to provide a sense of security to the people in Papua," said Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto.
