Puan about Jokowi Blusukan to Lampung: Political Safari is the Right of All Citizens

JAKARTA - Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani said political safari activities are the right of every citizen, when responding to the political visit of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to several regions in Indonesia.

"Political safari, the right of all citizens," said Puan at a press conference after the plenary meeting, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 30.

According to him, as a citizen, Joko Widodo can visit anywhere. On the other hand, Puan also invited all parties to carry out activities that cool the political atmosphere.

In the current uncertain global situation, according to him, all parties need to work together to keep the situation conducive. Puan then did not comment further on Jokowi's visit.

It is known that Jokowi visited Lampung on Friday (26/6) to attend the reception of customary titles, to the political agenda of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) and volunteers in the area.

In addition to Lampung, Jokowi also previously visited Tegal, Central Java, to attend PSI activities.

Jokowi said he would visit a number of areas to fulfill community invitations. In the initial phase, several areas that will be visited include Lampung, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Java.

Jokowi said that the visit was also used to meet volunteers and PSI cadres in the region.

"I am healthy and will attend the invitations that are there. It is also to give motivation, meet PSI in the region, and meet volunteers in the region because there are invitations," he said.
