JAKARTA - The Directorate of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) officially summoned 60,896 teachers to attend the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) for Certain Teachers in 2026 Phase 2. This program is part of the government's efforts to accelerate the completion of teacher certification throughout Indonesia.

Director of PPG Kemendikdasmen, Ferry Maulana Putra, said that teachers who are included in the list of participants can check the status of the summons through the Sustainable Professional Development Management Information System (SIMPKB) application. Through this platform, participants can also follow all stages according to the schedule that has been determined.

According to Ferry, the teachers who were called were those who had passed the administrative requirements. The participants came from various regions in Indonesia, ranging from Aceh to Papua, including teachers who served in Indonesian educational units abroad.

"The call for prospective participants of the PPG for Stage 2 Specified Teachers is the government's commitment in order to accelerate the completion of teacher certification in Indonesia. We urge teachers who are called to immediately confirm their readiness on their respective SIMPKB accounts," said Ferry.

He explained that the implementation process of PPG Phase 2 began with confirmation of the readiness of participants which took place on 22-28 June 2026. Furthermore, participants are required to report on 1-4 July 2026, before attending the orientation activities scheduled for 8 July 2026.

After orientation, teachers will undergo independent learning through the GTK Room platform from July 8 to August 12, 2026. The series of programs was then closed with the implementation of the Competency Test for PPG Participants (UKPPPG).

Ferry added that participants who successfully completed all stages and were declared successful would receive an educator certificate. This certificate is a recognition of the professional competence of teachers and is also one of the requirements for obtaining professional allowances in accordance with applicable regulations.

According to him, the implementation of PPG for Certain Teachers is also a form of the government's commitment to provide wider opportunities for teachers who have not had an educator certificate.

In order for the implementation process to run optimally, the Ministry of Education invites local governments, education services, and all stakeholders to accompany the participants during the program.

The assistance is considered important to ensure that each stage can be passed well so that more teachers can complete the PPG and obtain an educator certificate.
