MBG Asked Not to Be Divided Equally, Priority for 3T and Vulnerable Families

JAKARTA - The Free Nutritious Meal or MBG program is considered to need to focus more on targeting groups that really need it.

This view was conveyed by the Chairman of the ADKASI, Siswanto, when he met with the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP), General Purn. Dudung Abdurachman at the Presidential Palace Complex, Tuesday, June 23.

According to Siswanto, there are three aspects that need to be strengthened in the MBG program, namely the organizational structure, kitchen operations, and the accuracy of the target beneficiaries.

He assessed that the lagging, leading, and outermost areas or 3T must be the top priority.

In addition, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and toddlers also need special attention.

Siswanto even assessed that the evaluation of beneficiaries needed to be carried out so that the assistance was more targeted.

"The majority of our children still need this program, but it must be ensured that the recipients are the groups in need," he said.

ADKASI also asked for a thorough evaluation of the MBG kitchen, ranging from sanitation, waste processing installation, halal certification, menu quality, to food distribution.
