JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said there were still around 130 palm oil companies that had not raised the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of farmers' palm oil in accordance with government directives.
According to Amran, around 80 to 90 percent of palm oil companies have adjusted the TBS price. The number of companies that have not adjusted continues to decrease from before.
"Now there are only 130 companies. So there are only a few of the 1,900 companies," said Amran after a coordination meeting on the downstream processing of plantations and the production of plantation seeds at the Ministry of Agriculture's Headquarters, Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, June 17.
He said the government together with the Food Task Force (Satgas) was still monitoring companies that had not raised the price of farmers' TBS.
Supervision is also carried out on companies that have adjusted prices. This step is taken to ensure that the price of TBS, which has increased, does not go down again at the farmer level.
"Nah ini tetap diperiksa. Yang lainnya sudah naik, tapi kita monitor jangan sampai naik, turun kembali, tidak. Kita monitor seluruh Indonesia," ujarnya.
Amran said the price of TBS varied in each region because it was influenced by regional conditions and the policies of each company.
"It varies by region. There is Rp3,000 per kilogram, there is Rp3,600 per kilogram, it varies," he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture asked palm oil companies to increase the purchase price of farmers' TBS in line with the increase in the price of crude palm oil (CPO) in the global market.
Amran assessed that the decline in TBS prices that had occurred at the farmer level was an anomaly because it was not in line with the trend of rising world CPO prices.
In early June 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture noted that there were still around 274 palm oil companies that had not adjusted the TBS price. Therefore, the government coordinated and tracked various factors that affected prices in a number of palm oil centers.
According to Amran, the problem of palm oil prices has a direct impact on around 15 million farmers so it needs to be immediately addressed to maintain community income.
The government, he said, will continue to monitor the implementation of TBS price adjustments in the field to ensure farmers receive more fair prices and according to market conditions.
