BOGOR - The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, invited all elements of society and the government to make Pancasila as a driving force for unity and the main foundation in regional and national development.

Adityawarman conveyed this invitation when attending the Bogor City Level Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony held at the Bogor City Hall Plaza, Monday, June 1.

According to Adityawarman, the Pancasila values should not only be commemorated ceremonially every year, but must continue to be implemented in the life of the nation and the state, especially in the midst of increasingly complex global geopolitical dynamics.

"The driving force for us to always contribute, especially to international peace, which today has a somewhat dynamic geopolitical situation. And with the Indonesian nation, appearing as one of the forces that can provide a counterweight to the existing forces," said Adityawarman.

The 2026 Pancasila Birthday Ceremony carries the theme "Pancasila Unites the Nation, the Foundation of Peace" and is led directly by the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim. The event was also attended by elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of regional devices, and civil servants (ASN) in the Bogor City Government environment.

Adityawarman assessed that strengthening national values is an important capital in facing various global challenges. According to him, regional development must go hand in hand with strengthening the national character in order to be able to create sustainable community welfare.

He hopes that the spirit of Pancasila can become a positive energy that encourages the community to continue to collaborate and contribute to development, both at the regional and national levels.

At that moment, the Bogor City Government also awarded a number of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) which were considered to have the best performance achievements.

Adityawarman appreciated the local government apparatus which managed to show positive performance and hoped that the award could be a motivation for other OPDs to continue to improve the quality of public services.

"Of course we appreciate the achievements that have been achieved and of course the spirit is to maintain, even continue to improve. And for those who have not, I believe this can motivate them to be even better in improving performance, especially providing public services to the community," he said.

Meanwhile, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim in his message emphasized that Pancasila remains the main guideline for the Indonesian nation in facing global challenges while maintaining unity in the midst of diversity.

According to Dedie, Pancasila has proven to be the answer to Indonesia's diversity which consists of thousands of islands and hundreds of ethnic groups as well as an anchor of morality in the midst of technological developments and the ever-changing dynamics of the world.

"Today is a moment of reflection to ensure that the Pancasila fire remains lit in the soul of every Indonesian. Pancasila is a guiding star that has proven its strength in the midst of a world marked by uncertainty and the threat of fragmentation," said Dedie.

He added that the value of deliberation and consensus contained in Pancasila is an important capital for Indonesia in building peace and bridging various differences, both at the national and global levels.

At the end of his message, Dedie reminded all stakeholders that every public policy must always be based on the principle of social justice and be in the public interest.

"Make sure that every public policy that is born is based on social justice, fulfills the public sense of justice, guarantees the rights of the smallest people, and does not allow any people to feel abandoned. We must continue to fight against all forms of intolerance and radicalism that can damage our national harmony," he concluded.
