Said Iqbal said information about the appointment was conveyed by Teddy through a telephone call on Sunday, June 7 evening, the day before the inauguration at the State Palace.
"At 16.30 WIB, he was inaugurated at the Palace. He was called last night by the Secretary of the Army, Lieutenant Colonel Teddy," said Said Iqbal in his statement on Monday, June 8.
He confirmed that President Prabowo would be inaugurated as the President's Special Advisor for Employment with the rank of minister.
"As a special advisor to the president for employment with the position of a minister according to Presidential Regulation Number 137 of 2024," he said.
The appointment of Said Iqbal marks the entry of a labor figure into the circle of the Palace to provide direct input to the President regarding various issues related to employment, industrial relations, worker protection, to social security policies.
