BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) targets as many as 544 children to participate in the circumcision or circumcision program for free. This activity was held in commemoration of the 544th anniversary of Bogor (HJB) in 2026.
This public health service is carried out at 25 health centers spread across all sub-districts in Bogor City, starting from June 2 to 5, 2026.
Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, said that the free circumcision program initiated by the Bogor City Health Office (Dinkes) aims to help the community while providing easy-to-reach health services. He also invited residents to take advantage of the momentum.
"I convey to the public who want their children to be circumcised for free, God willing, in 25 health centers in all districts, just come until June 5. The Bogor City Government provides free circumcision in order to enliven HJB," said Jenal Mutaqin when reviewing the implementation at the Sempur Health Center, Central Bogor, Tuesday, June 2.
During the review, a total of 14 children, most of whom were toddlers to elementary school, took part in the circumcision procession. Jenal said that the youngest participant at the location was only three years old. Meanwhile, for elementary school children, the circumcision schedule is adjusted after they have completed school exams.
As a form of appreciation and moral support, the Bogor City Government also gave gifts to the participants.
"We also give small gifts to children who have undergone circumcision in the form of sarung, prayer tools, and drawing books so that they are more enthusiastic," said Jenal.
He added that this program is open to all residents of Bogor City without complicated requirements. The main criteria is the physical condition of the child in a healthy state and ready to undergo medical procedures.
