JAKARTA - The Saudi government has appointed the senior Imam and Khatib of the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, to deliver a sermon at the peak of the Hajj, Wukuf Arafah, this year which was held on Tuesday.

Born on May 22, 1947 in Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi is considered one of the most respected Quran reciters and Islamic scholars in the Muslim world.
