Speaking while reviewing Miangas Island, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, the President said the government would make improvements to facilities on the northernmost island in Indonesia, including health centers and schools.
"We will renovate all schools, this year and in the next 2-3 years, all schools in Indonesia will be renovated," said the President in a dialogue with the community, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 9.
During the review of SMK Negeri 2 Talaud, the President also ensured that schools in the region had received school digitization assistance in the form of interactive digital boards to support the learning process.
"Have you got a new screen? Is it already in SMP? Have all schools got it?" said Prabowo.
Representatives of the local regional government then confirmed that schools on Miangas Island had received the interactive digital board.
The President also expressed his appreciation for the community's welcome and highlighted that he was the second Indonesian President to ever visit the northernmost island in Indonesia.
The Head of State said he was grateful to be able to see the conditions in Miangas, ensuring that improvements would continue to be made to facilities that were frequently used by the community.
Not only health and education facilitation, the President on that occasion also provided assistance to fishermen including one ship with a size of 15 gross tonnage (GT).
