PAM Jaya Shares 1,000 Free Toren, Residents Who Still Buy Jeriken Water Are Targeted

PAM Jaya together with the DKI Jakarta Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement (TP PKK) continues to carry out a program to distribute free water towers for residents. As of early May 2026, 1,000 towers have been distributed to a number of areas in Jakarta.

The latest distribution was carried out at the RW 08 Residents' Hall, Pulo Gebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday, May 7. During the activity, 357 towers were distributed to residents in the Pulomas, Gudang Air, and Klender areas.

PAM Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin, said the program is aimed at helping residents have more decent water reserves at home, especially for people who still rely on daily water purchases.

"Through the distribution of this tower, we want to ensure that the public has more secure water availability at home. This is not just about facilities, but about how we together maintain family health and relieve the burden of residents in daily life," said Arief.

This tower distribution program targets residents who have had limited access to clean water storage. With the tower, water distribution is considered more stable and residents do not have to buy bottled water too often.

Arief said that the distribution of towers would continue throughout this year. PAM Jaya together with the DKI Jakarta TP PKK targets 5,000 towers to be distributed to all areas of Jakarta by the end of 2026.

"In total, from January to May 7, 2026, a total of 1,000 towers have been distributed to the public in various areas of DKI Jakarta," he said.

In addition to the distribution of towers, the activity was also filled with the distribution of rice assistance to representatives of the local TP PKK and Dasawisma. A number of officials were also present at the event, including the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta TP PKK Hani Pramono Anung, Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta TP PKK Dewi Rano Karno, and the Chairman of the PAM Jaya Women's Power Lya Arief Nasrudin.

PAM Jaya considers the need for water storage to be a problem in a number of densely populated areas of Jakarta. In addition to daily needs, the existence of the tower is also considered important to maintain household water resistance when water distribution is disrupted.
