Access for East Jakarta Residents Expanded, Transjakarta Adds JAK06 Stop Point

JAKARTA - PT Transjakarta has added a number of stop points on the JAK.06 Kampung Rambutan-Pondok Gede route. This change is being made to expand the reach of services, especially in residential areas and centers of activity for residents in East Jakarta.

This route adjustment makes the JAK.06 track now reach more strategic points, ranging from health facilities, government offices, to densely populated areas. A number of new points include the Jami Al-Iltisham Mosque, Cipayung Hospital, Bambu Apus Village Office, and TKI Social Welfare Road.

This step is considered important considering that these areas have not been optimally served by integrated public transportation.

Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations Department, Ayu Wardhani, said the route modification was part of the company's ongoing evaluation to improve service quality.

"We continue to evaluate and develop services, including through route modifications such as JAK.06, so that people can more easily access safe and comfortable public transportation," said Ayu in a statement, Monday, May 4.

With the addition of a stop point, Transjakarta also aims to increase inter-regional connectivity. This route connects a number of important points such as the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, the Cipayung area, to Pondok Gede which borders Bekasi.

In the direction of Pondok Gede, the route now crosses dozens of new points, including the Lubang Buaya area and the Pancasila Sakti Monument before ending at Pondok Molek. Meanwhile, the opposite direction to Kampung Rambutan, the service reaches points such as the Binawaluyo Heart Hospital, TMII Pintu 3, to the Halim Perdanakusuma area.

This addition also emphasizes the role of Transjakarta's microtrans service as a feeder for the main transportation, especially to reach areas that are not covered by the large bus corridor.

Transjakarta hopes that this route change can encourage the public to switch from private vehicles to public transportation, as well as strengthen the integrated transportation system in Jakarta.

The following are the stopping points for the Jak 06 Kp Rambutan - Pondok Gede route:
