BANDUNG - The owner of a skincare business from Sumedang, Heni Purnamasari alias Heni Sagara, began to speak in the courtroom.

He appeared as a victim witness in the alleged defamation case at the Bandung District Court, Wednesday, April 29.

Case number 262/Pid.Sus/2026/PN.Bdg dragged Gusnafily HI Muhamad Nur as a defendant, with the alleged violation of the Information and Electronic Transaction Law (ITE Law).

This time the trial is scheduled to examine the victim's witnesses. Heni came accompanied by her husband, Iwa Wahyudin, as well as the party who actively reported this case to the police.

"Today's hearing is a witness examination agenda for a defamation case not only for individuals but also for my company and products. I will really fight for this justice," said Heni, Thursday, April 30.

This case has its roots in the prevalence of negative issues circulating in the public regarding his skincare business. The narrative that emerged was not trivial, ranging from allegations that the factory was closed to the use of dangerous materials such as mercury.

Heni assessed that the attack was not standing alone. He said there was a structured pattern and had a wide impact, both financially and psychologically.

"This is done in a structured and massive way. There must be material losses," he said.

As a pharmacist, Heni emphasized that the products he has marketed so far are not problematic. He claims that his business continues to run even though it is hit by issues.

"Alhamdulillah, until now we are still surviving," he said.

On the other hand, Iwa Wahyudin took the role of reporter in a number of cases being handled by the West Java Police. He called this legal step as an effort to clean the good name of his family and business.

"I am a reporter in cases that are being handled at the West Java Police. This is a moment to prove that the issue that is developing is only slander. The dignity of the wife, family, and company is above everything else," said Iwa.

He also revealed that the attack on his family had been going on for almost two years.

The lawyer for Heni and Iwa, Yunus Adhi Prabowo, confirmed that his client was a pharmacist and a legitimate business owner, ranging from factories to skincare product lines. He ensured that there was no criminal verdict stating that his client was guilty, including regarding the allegations of mercury use.

Yunus reminded the legal consequences for the spread of incorrect information, referring to the provisions in the ITE Law.

"Article 51 paragraph (1) jo Article 35 of the ITE Law provides for severe sanctions of up to 12 years in prison," he said.

According to him, the report does not stop at one case. His party is tracing the actors behind the spread of the issue, including the alleged involvement of the buzzer.

"We will continue to monitor until the parties behind the spread of this issue are found, both the perpetrators and the parties who ordered it," said Yunus.
