PAM Jaya together with the DKI Jakarta PKK Movement Team (TP) distributed 100 free water towers to residents in Tugu Utara Village, Koja District, Monday, April 20, 2026. This program targets households with limited access to clean water, especially in areas with low water pressure.
The distribution of the tower was carried out at the Baitul Muttaqin Mosque and was attended by a number of officials, including the Chairman of the TP PKK DKI Jakarta Hani Pramono Anung, Deputy Chairman of the TP PKK DKI Jakarta Dewi Rano Karno, and the President Director of PAM Jaya Arief Nasrudin.
A total of 51 towers are allocated for the Koja area and another 49 towers for Kelapa Gading. This assistance is expected to help residents store water reserves more safely and stably.
PAM Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin said this program is part of the commemoration of Kartini Day as well as a form of attention to the role of mothers in the family.
"The struggle of a mother is extraordinary. We can all be healthy and meet the needs of the house because of the figure of the mother. We want mothers to feel happy to be able to access clean water that is sufficient. Therefore, we distribute water towers for free as a form of our appreciation to them," said Arief.
Arief explained that the provision of towers is a short-term solution for residents who face water distribution problems, especially in areas with water pressure that is not optimal.
"Access to water is not only about the piping network, but also about how the water can be stored in storage and used as best as possible in every home. Toren is a short-term solution for residents in areas with low water pressure," said Arief.
The tower assistance program has been running gradually since the beginning of 2026. In January, PAM Jaya distributed 100 towers in Padamulya, Angke, West Jakarta. Then in February, as many as 150 towers were distributed in Kamal Village, Kalideres. Meanwhile, in mid-April, 270 towers were distributed in the Angke area, North Jakarta.
This activity is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding between the DKI Jakarta PKK TP and PAM Jaya Women's Power regarding social assistance. Throughout 2026, PAM Jaya targets the distribution of 2,000 water towers with a capacity of 300 liters in various areas of Jakarta.
This program is focused on customers in the category of simple households, especially with a building area of less than 70 square meters. One of the recipients of assistance, Lilis, admitted that he was helped by the water tower.
"The existence of this tower is very helpful to us. I am touched. Now I can feel calm and safe because we can store water so that daily needs are more secure," he said.
