Two Reports Received by Polda Metro Jaya Regarding Feri Amsari's Postings

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is investigating the alleged spread of false news or hoaxes allegedly carried out by a legal expert on state administration, Feri Amsari. In two consecutive days, the police received two reports related to the same case.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said the first report was received on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 16.45 WIB with the initial report of RMN. Meanwhile, the second report was received a day later, Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11.24 WIB, with the initial report of MIS.

"There have been two reports received with the same object of the case," Budi told reporters, Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to Budi, the reporters also submitted a number of evidence in the form of screenshots to flash drives containing uploaded materials that were questioned.

He emphasized that every public report would be accepted as long as it met the initial elements, such as the existence of suspected criminal acts, witnesses, and supporting evidence.

Furthermore, investigators will investigate the contents of the upload to determine whether there is or is not a criminal element.

"Investigators and investigators will investigate the structure of the related criminal articles, examine the reporters, witnesses, and evidence whether the criminal elements are met," he said.

Budi ensured that the handling of the case was carried out professionally, proportionally, and accountable. The Metro Jaya Police also opened access to information to the public regarding the development of the case.
