JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate revealed the chronology of the accident between a bus and a motorcycle that resulted in two people being killed on Jalan Supriyadi in front of the entrance to the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Monday.
The Head of the Traffic Police's Gakkum Sub-Directorate, AKBP Ojo Ruslani, explained that the accident, which occurred at around 12.25 WIB, involved a PT. NPM bus with the vehicle number BA-7251-NU driven by a man with the initials BA (33) with a motorcycle with the police number B 5020 TTN driven by ERJ (39).
The incident began when the bus was traveling from east to west on Jalan Supriyadi, Ciracas, East Jakarta and was about to turn into Kampung Rambutan Terminal.
"When turning left to enter the terminal, the bus collided with a motorcycle driven by ERJ (39) and hit his son DF (20)," said Ojo.
As a result of the accident, the two victims fell into the undercarriage of the PT NPM bus and suffered serious injuries.
"The condition of ERJ was serious and died at the scene, then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, while DF suffered serious injuries and died in treatment at Pasar Rebo Hospital," he said.
Ojo explained that the two vehicles involved in the accident and documents were secured at the East Jakarta Traffic Accident Unit.
