Ombudsman "New Formation", Commitment to Strengthen Public Service Oversight

Jakarta - After being inaugurated, the new Ombudsman formation expressed a strong commitment to carry out the duties, functions, and authorities of the institution.

The inauguration was carried out by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday, April 10. In his statement to the media after the inauguration, the Chairman of the Ombudsman Hery Susanto emphasized that the oath-taking was an important momentum to optimize the role of public service supervision.

In carrying out future tasks, Hery said that internal improvement was the main priority of the Indonesian Ombudsman. Hery assessed that there were still a number of aspects that needed to be improved within the organization, ranging from institutional structures to budgetary support.

For this reason, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia is trying to continue to strengthen synergy with the government and the approach to the program initiated by the government, namely Asta Cita, so that it can be implemented properly.

Furthermore, Hery highlighted the importance of supervision of various priority government programs which were considered not to have been fully communicated to the public.

Through the supervision and assistance functions, the Ombudsman is committed to bringing government programs such as free education, people's schools, to free nutritious meals to the public.
