Prabowo Warned that the No King Movement Will Not Spread to Indonesia

JAKARTA - Military and defense expert, Connie Rahakundini Bakrie, who has criticized the policies of the Prabowo Subianto government several times, admitted that he was the target of a coordinated attack in the digital space allegedly carried out by automated accounts or "robots".

In fact, the attack did not come from a regular buzzer, but used a system that worked quickly and massively, including by marking himself and labeling him as a "fake professor".

"I want to let you know, the one who attacked me was not a normal buzzer. But it's a machine robot, it's fast by tagging me as if I were a hoax professor," Connie tweeted on the X social media account, as seen on Sunday, April 5.

He admitted that he had searched for a number of accounts that attacked him, and said that most of the accounts used an automated system, even claiming to find certain affiliation indications.

"I have checked all of them, where the IP is, what the phone number is, but on average they have used robots. And their affiliation to the palace has also been detected," he continued.

In the tweet, Connie also touched on the importance of openness to criticism in the democratic system.

According to him, as the head of state elected by the people, the president should not be anti-input, including from academics.

Therefore, he asked President Prabowo Subianto to evaluate the parties in his circle if there was indeed a practice of digital attacks against parties who delivered criticism.

He reminded that Indonesia is a country of law and democracy, so the space for criticism must be maintained and respected.

"Don't let the 'No King' movement that happened yesterday in the United States because of Donald Trump spill over into Indonesia because Mr. Prabowo doesn't want to be corrected," said Connie.
