JAKARTA - President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States-Israel war against Iran had reached regime change and a deal could be reached "soon" with Tehran.
President Trump, citing the number of Iranian leaders who have died in the US-Israeli war against Iran over the past month, said regime change had been achieved and the new leadership was "much more reasonable".
"We have experienced a regime change," he told reporters on Air Force One, Al Arabiya reported from AFP (30/3).
"We're dealing with people who are different than anybody who's ever dealt with before. It's a totally different group of people. So I would consider that a regime change," he continued.
Asked if there would be an agreement with Iran next week (this week), President Trump said: "I see an agreement in Iran. It could be soon."
It is known that the Pakistani government, the government is trying to use its relationship with Tehran and the Gulf countries, as well as the growing relationship with President Trump, to mediate peace talks.
"Pakistan is very happy that Iran and the US have expressed their trust in Pakistan to facilitate talks," Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said.
However, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament accused Washington of using diplomacy as a cover.
"The enemy openly sends messages of negotiation and dialogue while secretly planning a ground attack," Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said in a statement carried by the official IRNA news agency.
"Our forces are waiting for the arrival of American soldiers on the ground to burn them and punish their regional allies once and for all," he added.
