Police Prepare One Way Toll Kendal-Pejagan

SEMARANG - The police have prepared traffic engineering in the form of one-way or one-way implementation from the Kendal toll road to Pejagan as an alternative to ensure the smooth flow of the second Lebaran 2026 return flow.

"For the third phase of one-way, we will start from KM 390 in Kendal to Pejagan," said Central Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General M. Pratama Adhyasastra in Semarang, Saturday, March 28, reported by ANTARA.

According to him, the implementation of the one-way lane will also see the traffic flow if it reaches 3 thousand vehicles per hour.

"If it is still 2,500 to 2,800 per hour, we will still use normal conditions," he said.

Central Java Police, he continued, are ready. to implement one-way lane enforcement at any time during the return flow.

The peak of the second reverse flow, he said, is expected to occur on Sunday (29/3) evening.

The reason for the implementation of a one-way lane from KM 290 Kendal and not from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate Semarang, he said, is to facilitate the breakdown of traffic density.

According to him, travelers from the East will arrive at Pejagan faster.

"Then when entering West Java, there is also no accumulation, both in Cikampek and Ciirebon," he said.

Through this mechanism, he hopes that traffic flow will be smoother.

He also appealed to motorists to drive at a speed limit of between 40 and 50 km per hour during the heavy return flow.
